2004 Leeuwin Estate Chardonnay - Art Series
(Australia / Western Australia / Margaret River)
RATED: 06/12/2009
COLOR: Straw Yellow.
AROMA: Cream. Oak. Apple. Woody. Light Fruits.
FLAVOR: Cream. Butter. Bread. Citrus. Oak. Apple. Cut Grass.
PROFILE: Crisp Acidity. Balanced. Smooth Mouthfeel. Rich Body. Light Tannin. Medium Finish.
COMMENTS: Very good, although a litle overpowering Chardonnay. Very modern style, with pronounced oak-associated flavors (ie popcorn, butter, etc). Very round and creamy. With a touch of saltiness at the end. Similar to the Rene Barbier Chardonnay Seleccion.
