COMMENTS: Sampled 7/28/04. I've had this wine a few times over the past year or so and it seems to have gotten a little better over such time. The nose is a pleasant Margaux-like Bordeaux. The color evidences a medium bodied wine, but it is more than that in the mouth. A smooth wine with soft tannins and nice layers of black cherry and a little tobacco and chocolate, but the finish is all "Oak and mirrors".

COMMENTS: A lightly tannic Meritage blend from B.V. From the disappointing 2000 Napa vintage, this wine is drinking watery and light. Aromas and flavors of black currant, cedar and toast. Finish is on the shorter side. Overall a pass.
