1988 Chateau Palmer
(France / Bordeaux / Margaux)
RATED: 11/11/2005
COMMENTS: Nice flavors. Old wood (perhaps a little bit too), sherry, old cellar. Good acidity, elegant, multi layers, old wood, plum. Fine lenght, not tannic and agressive. Well made but a lake of something ?? What ?

1988 Chateau Palmer
(France / Bordeaux / Margaux)
RATED: 07/01/2003
COMMENTS: (not blind, Magnum, from memory): Dark purple, clear, dense tears. Nose of overt dark roasted coffe beans. Medium body, some acidity here, nice fruit. Silky aftertaste. Score: 50 + 4 for optic + 14 for bouquet + 17 for taste + 7 for overall = total score of 92.

Parker scored this wine (last tasted, 10/92) with only 87 points so this was a nice surprise for me.
