All the signatures of Helen Turley are in this Sonoma Zin, including a well-balanced aroma and texture, a spicy complex flavor with many characteristcs and a long flat finish. As compared to the 2001 vintage of this same wine, I would say the 97 is better-developed with a little age. That said, five years is about the most I would want to age this wine, but it was a hit at the tasting that night. For the price, I would expect as much.
