As a fan of this winery, I expect good things, especially of the older vintages. I can truthfully say that I wasn't let down by this big, chewy Cab. It didn't knock my socks off, but I enjoy everything about the PJ Estate Cabernet. The ripe fruit in the nose and mouth are full-bodied with notes of leather and sweet spice. Tannins were palatable and there was a soft black licorice finish that lasted 30+ seconds. Its rich smooth texture made this wine a real pleasure to drink. Although you could age this one several more years, the newer vintages are even better. IMHO, Drink Now.
