(not blind): Bright purple, very dense, tints the glass. Nose after green walnuts and advent season. Same in taste, full body, very well balanced, roots. Aftertaste bitter tannins (hint of green walnuts) but soft. Score: 50 + 5 for optic + 14 for bouquet + 18 for taste + 8 for overall = total score of 95.
This is an incredible value for $16,-. I was not able to buy younger vintages because the retailer stopped selling it - too cheap and too hard to sell. Bad combination.
