RATED: 04/01/2004
COMMENTS: (single blind): Dark garnet, clear, high viscosity. Intense liquorice, some oak, bit of cress in the nose. Medium to plump body, dark fruit, good acidity, lasting tannins. Long aftertaste, velvety bit tartish dark berries fruit. Score: 50 + 4 for optic + 13 for bouquet + 18 for taste + 8 for overall = total score of 93.

Had this wine without extended decanting, but scored it the same like Dec 2003 with some hours of decanting - it seems to get a bit softer with some air. Usually I avoid decanting Lynch Bages.
