2001 Bosquet des Papes - Chante le Merle
(France / Rhone / Southern Rhone / Chateauneuf du Pape)
RATED: 02/01/2004
COMMENTS: (single blind): Brilliant garnet, dense tears. Beautiful Grenache (= similar to a very fine PN) nose. Medium body, acidity and tannins very well balanced, good spine. Long finish, fine velvety acidity. Score: 50 + 3 for optic + 15 for nose + 18 for taste + 9 for overall = total score of 95.

My tip for this wine was Pegau (which I missed in this tasting because it was corked). I know I am a bit high with my score here but this has to have something to do with personal preferences.
