COMMENTS: Black ruby, fat tears, massive depot. Massive dark fruity nose. Plump body, fruit and tannins mask a rather powerful acidity. Strong finish. Great if a bit fruity. Score: 50 + 4 for optic + 14 for bouquet + 18 for taste + 9 for overall = total score of 95.

Gourmet Hiking 2002. Not blind. Decanted shortly before drinking. Riedel Syrah glass.
