Purple color that leads into an earthy, slightly vegetal nose. Flavors of sweet cassis, cherry, earth and truffles. This wine has a medium body and medium finish. Overall quite enjoyable.
Single blind at a 2002 California Pinot Noir tasting. This was the most Burgundian of the bunch.
