COMMENTS: Brilliant medium ruby, fat tears. Soft vanilla in the nose, very smooth, bit cool. Medium body, fine acidity, nice red fruit, fine tannins. Medium finish, fine velvety. Great wine not in terms of size but of pleasure.

Score: 50 + 4 for optic + 13 for bouquet + 17 for taste + 7 for overall = total score of 91.

Pegau vertical tasting Graz 20040927. Single blind. Decanted shortly before tasting. Wine Star Chardonnay glass similar to ISO standard tasting glass. Wine #3 in flight #5. Sequence predefined by the organiser of the tasting, not by chance.
