2001 Louis Jadot - Cuvee Billardet
(France / Burgundy / Cote de Beaune / Pommard)
RATED: 10/01/2004
COMMENTS: Watery light purple, light rim, dense tears. Slightly vegetal nose, hint of sauerkraut, decent dark cool fruit. Medium to slim body, rather prominent fruity acidity, slightly woody tannins. Long finish, slightly tartish impregnating persistent tannins. Good but not perfect match with rolled hares back with Jerusalem artichoke.

Score: 50 + 3 for optic + 12 for bouquet + 17 for taste + 7 for overall = total score of 89.

Interesting detail: This wine was served after the Mazis Chambertin GC because of its bit coarser texture

Coburg 20041007. Not blind. Not decanted. Riedel Burgundy glass.
