1999 Chateau de Beaucastel - Blanc Roussanne VV
(France / Rhone / Southern Rhone / Chateauneuf du Pape)
RATED: 06/01/2003
COMMENTS: (not blind): Golden color, extreme viscosity. Nose after Sherry and Trockenbeerenauslese. Full body, taste of Sherry, nuts, dried yellow fruit. Velvety aftertaste, wine grapes fruit. Score: 50 + 4 for optic + 13 for bouquet + 18 for taste + 8 for overall = total score of 93.

This wine is nice to drink at red wine temperature and rather impressive - but one bottle a year is may be enough.
