Black cherries, luscious, rich dark plums. I'm thinking Gothic cathedrals. Strong iodine to begin with but character changes with oxidation and so must be sampled slowly. Complex, long acid finish. Needs to be sampled more than once and probably not for the novice drinker. What wine making should be about.

Clear garnet, smoky and juicy. YUM! This is grown up juicy-juice. Smells like new leather shoes right out of a box filled with sandlewood incense and dried tarragon leaves. It doesn't bite, rather it "grabs" the throat. This is the kind of wine I imagine bowhunters used to carry in their leather wineskins. Psychologically, it tastes better the more that is in the glass. Perfect hammock wine on an early fall afternoon with a book and a baguette. 24 hrs later the smokiness is greatly dimineshed. Now tastes like bubblegum, but without the sugary sweetness. Absolutely wonderful. Outstanding.
