Vino Nobile di Montepulciano is a blend dominated by 50-70% Prugnolo gentile aka Sangiovese grosso which is used to make Brunello.
The 01 Vino Nobile has aromas of violets and plums and a flavor profile rich in plums as well along with dark chocolate overtones. This medium bodied wine has well integrated tannins and a medium finish. The wine is drinking well now and should aged well for 5-6 years from vintage.
