This is your classic high QPR wine. It only costs $11 and is one hell of alot better than anything else for the money...for a Rioja. The Rivola really shows its youth, but was a very drinkable earthy red. It feels smooth, like in the refinement of a more expensive bottle, without having much depth of character. Fruity and slightly sweet, this one didn't last very long after dinner. The best word to describe it is 'nice.' It's a nice little Rioja. But I probably won't get any more.
