Very dark purple. Nose is sour cherry, blueberry, smoke/ash, flowers, oak, nutmeg/allspice, green leaves, licorice. Medium to full body. Semi-dry to dry. Medium to heavy tannins. Medium to long finish. Great stuff...a little too tannic for immediate consumption, but a wonderful complex nose and excellent balance. Hard to believe this was only $10/bottle.
