2000 Heike und Gernot Heinrich - Salzberg
(Austria)
RATED: 11/01/2003
COMMENTS: (Zweigelt/Blaufrankisch/Merlot/Syrah, single blind): Black purple, tints the glass, massive tears. Ascending alcohol and toast, warm, velvety - over time getting cooler and more silky. Plump (full to medium) body, well balanced, tannins bit bitter, some acidity. Long aftertaste, velvety tannins, aftertaste sensation concentrated on the
sides and the end of the tongue. Score: 50 + 5 for optic + 14 for bouquet + 18 for taste + 8 for overall = total score of 95.

2000 Heike und Gernot Heinrich - Salzberg
(Austria)
RATED: 09/01/2003
COMMENTS: (not blind): Brilliant ruby with black touch, dense tears, tints the glass, rim slightly light. Toasted oak, dark fruit, smoke, liquorice and soy sauce in the nose. Plump body, rather muscular, powerful dark fruit, acidity and tannins well balanced, some spine here but also bit of finesse. Aftertaste velvety smoke, mouth coating, very long. Very
satisfying. Score: 50 + 4 for optic + 14 for bouquet + 19 for taste + 9 for overall = total score of 96.
