COMMENTS: Medium garnet, dense tears, bright, tints slightly the glass. Decent oak note, St. Julien typical nose, note of lemon. Medium body, slightly brandy, liquorice. Furry finish, bit flat and austere. Score: 50 + 3 for optic + 12 for bouquet + 16 for taste + 5 for overall = total score of 86.

Details: Single blind. Decanted shortly before tasting. Riedel Bordeaux glass.

COMMENTS: (single blind): Brilliant garnet, brick rim, medium tears. Nose after roots, earth, violets. Medium body, barely fruit, more on the tannins and acidity side, but good balanced. Long aftertaste, furred tongue. Score: 50 + 3 for optic + 13 for bouquet + 17 for taste + 7 for overall = total score of 90.
