| COMMENTS: |
The 2002 Ravenswood Merlot is a pleasant wine. Nothing to outstanding, but not bad either. On the nose, I get raspberry and sweet oak. Upon tasting, the oak-laden red fruit is balanced out by just enough acidity and some spiciness. I also detect a bit of earth, making this more varietally appropriate for Merlot. A short finish.
