COMMENTS: Aroma of blackberry, chocolate, raspberry, blueberry, and leather. Full body, medium tannins, semi-sweet, medium to long finish. A hedonistic, sexy wine that, although admittedly limited in depth, is extraordinarily rich in the mouth. Amazingly luxurious, with sweet, fine tannins that feel like velvet. Amazing value when originally sold ($16?), but even at twice that price I still felt like I got my money's worth. Not quite the 93 that Parker placed this at, but for Aussie shiraz fans like myself, I can understand his euphoria over something this decadent and concentrated.

COMMENTS: Too much! Am I drinking grape juice or wine? The acidity is much too flabby for so much fruit. Tooth-staining color.

COMMENTS: Although some may like this over the top syrupy wine from Marquis Phillips, I find the style too much for my taste. California wine lovers take note: All fruit, no structure.
