| COMMENTS: |
What can say? The best wine I have ever had, I have no point of reference better than this. Color is deep purple with no sign of bricking. Explosive aromas of strawberry, cherry and red fruit; followed by flavors of strawberry, black current and graphite with tobacco and leather present during the long finish. An awesome wine at its' peak. Outstanding!

| COMMENTS: |
Medium to dark reddish-purple, some bricking. Lovely complex nose of black cherry, blackberry, blueberry, meat, violet/lavender, chocolate, mint, undergrowth, virginal choirboy flesh, leather, charred oak, and licorice. Medium to full body. Semi-sweet to semi-dry. Soft tannins. Long finish. What can I say? It's a cerebral, intellectual experience, very soft and elegant. I think I'd have liked this to the tune of a 100 if I'd had it 5 years ago (a little more tannic grip would be ideal). I'm just glad I had an opporunity to sample this before its (and my!) lifetime was over.

(single blind): Brilliant garnet, dense tears, brick in the rim. Decent smoky nose, very fine, spicy, green pepper, bit alcoholic ascending. Medium body, good structure, bit tartish, fine fruit. Finish mouth impregnating, long. Score: 50 + 3 for optic + 15 for bouquet + 18 for taste + 8 for overall = total score of 94.
