1998 Rayas - Blanc
(France / Rhone / Southern Rhone / Chateauneuf du Pape)
RATED: 12/01/2003
COMMENTS: (not blind): Very light yellow, rather fat tears. Buttery nose, grape scent behind, hint of petrol. Plump body, plump taste, bit broad, some but low acidity. Long aftertaste, burns a bit in the end tannins or sulphur? Score: 50 + 2 for optic + 12 for bouquet + 16 for taste + 5 for overall = total score of 85.
