Sampled 8/2/04. Deep dark color. Modest nose of fruit. Chalky minerally flavors right up front that are infused with overripe black currant and some spicey Oak in the background. Tannin structure reveals some aging potential another 3 to 4 years should be the max. For comparison purposese, not as powerful as Paloma 2001 nor as elegant as the Hartwell 2000, but a very nice wine at a good price.
