Sampled 4/18/04. This wine was too tight, acidic, tannic, etc. when released and it is only now starting to show some of what it might really become. The backbone tannins in this wine are still extremely firm, and the wine is not throwing off any sediment yet. After being opened for 2.5 hours, it was still tight. Nonetheless, the black currant, pencil lead, and cassis are coming through.
