2001 Torbreck Shiraz - The Struie
(Australia / South Australia / Barossa Valley)
RATED: 07/06/2004
COMMENTS: Inky dark purple. Dense aroma of blackberry, cassis, graphite, black cherry, leaves, licorice, mint. Full body. Semi-sweet to semi-dry. Medium tannins. Medium to long finish. Heavily sedimented, just as nature intended. I look forward to the 2002, since the Woodcutter's Red I've had from that vintage was just about as good as this, and at less than half the price. This seems to be drinking where it should be right now.
