(not blind): Bright purple, very dense tears. Nose bit oaky, dark fruit, start bit brooding then pleasant evolving. Medium to plump body, spiky dark and red fruit, spicy oak. Aftertaste bit coriander, medium long. Score: 50 + 5 for optic + 13 for bouquet + 16 for taste + 7 for overall = total score of 91.
Bought this wine in an attack of weakness after a rather favorable TN of Tanzer and did not notice that this is a cuvee of Grenache and Carinena with international varietals like Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah and Merlot. While this is not a bad wine I don't see the need of international varietals in this region besides the ambition of a wine maker that "it can be done."
