COMMENTS: Melini's Chianti is decent to poor table wine. The wine is very limp on the nose, and the taste is overly sharp, young, and unblanced. The nose does give unusual hints of barnyard and leather while the flavor is wholly underwhelming and the finish is harsh.

PROFILE: Smooth Mouthfeel. Medium Lean Body. Moderate Light Tannin. Short Finish.
COMMENTS: A simple Chianti Classico with decent red fruit and earth. The wine has a lean-medium body and drinks rather smoothly. A good match with Italian dishes, especially those with a meat sauce. This wine will not steal the show from the food, rather it will enchance it.
