2003 Louis Jadot
(France / Burgundy / Beaujolais / Beaujolais-Villages)
ALCOHOL: 12.5%
RATED: 08/29/2004
COLOR: Ruby.
AROMA: Cat Pee. Lead.
FLAVOR: Blackberry. Soap stone.
PROFILE: Crisp Acidity. Balanced. Astringent Mouthfeel. Heavy Moderate Tannin. Short Finish.
COMMENTS: The 2003 Beaujolais-Villages is harsh and probably cannot be drunk in the traditional fashion. For my palate, this wine should be cellared for 3 - 5 years. The aroma is of sharp urine, lead, and acid. On the palate, the wine is softer with moderate tannins, minerals, and blackberries.
