2002 Peter Lehmann Shiraz - Barossa Range
(Australia / South Australia / Barossa Valley)
ALCOHOL: 14.0%
RATED: 08/13/2006
COMMENTS: Still excpetionally smooth and refined. I would like to taste more tannins....but this is exceptionally well done....I was sad to see the last of the 2002s disappear. But recenty tried Lehmann Clancy's (2003), which is a Shiraz, Cabernet, Merlot blend and found I like it better.

2002 Peter Lehmann Shiraz - Barossa Range
(Australia / South Australia / Barossa Valley)
ALCOHOL: 14.0%
RATED: 01/14/2006
COMMENTS: Velvety smooth with refined, but still present, tannins. Somewhat smoky with beautiful black fruit taste. I like this one very much. I prefer the 2004 Thorn Clarke Terra Barossa a bit more because of its heavier tannic structure. This could be only because of the age, though. This Lehmann is a good bottle!
Second tasting impressions: Tannins very refined....This is a warm and robust wine, but without any rough edges. Intense and complex fruit flavors...with a very good finish.
