1988 Domaine Jean Grivot - Richebourg
(France / Burgundy / Cote de Nuits / Vosne-Romanee )
Reviewed by:
Wilfried
Rated:
95 pts
(single blind): Powerful garnet, brilliant, medium tears. Ascending sweet alcohol, red berries, minimal Bazooka. Full to medium body, subtle acidity, massive tannins, not very elegant. Aftertaste long and velvety. Score: 50 + 3 for optic + 14 for bouquet + 19 for taste + 9 for overall = total score of 95.
This is a rather powerful and full wine and certainly great – but for me a bit overextracted, I prefer my Richebourg as slim hardbody.
