Color: Golden.
Aroma: Yeast. Citrus. Nutty. Woody.
Flavor: Yeast. Citrus. Nutty.
Profile: Crisp Acidity. Complex. Effervescent Mouthfeel. Rich Body. Long Finish.
Krug is still by far my favorite champagne. This bottle was absolutely exquisite, with tons of creamy nuttiness to balance out a tart citrus finish. The aroma is hardly contained by the glass, and bursts with yeast and nuttiness. Interestingly, I found this 750mL to be less carmelized and more fruity than a recent 375 mL from this producer. I would receommend drinking from the half bottle if that aged, toffee flavor is what you prefer. The wine from a 750mL is different but equally spectacular.
