2001 Sea Smoke Pinot Noir - Southing
(USA / California / Santa Barbara / Santa Rita Hills )

Reviewed by: Mrs

Color: Red Purple.
Aroma: Dark Fruits. Smoky.
Flavor: Dark Fruits. Smoky. Clove. Blackberry.
Profile: Crisp Acidity. Balanced. Rich Body. Moderate Tannin. Long Finish.

This is my favorite Pinot Noir of all time! Although, to be fair, this wine is constructed much more in the style of a Cabernet, with Tannins featuring prominently and a complex structure. A bit of smoke is hinted at both on the nose and in the mouth, making this a great food wine. All Sea Smoke wines are great, but this is truly remarkable.
