1982 Chateau Leoville Las Cases (France / Bordeaux / St-Julien )   Reviewed by: CellarSelect Rated: 97 pts   Deep ruby color with little sign of age. Still looked youthful and vibrant. The wine was still displaying remarkable fruit and deep color, and the tannins while still quite evident were well under control and quite silky. The wine was going gangbusters right out of the bottle and never gave any indication of doing otherwise over the next two hours. Gorgeous nose of lead pencil, stewed plum, amazing complexity and depth. I could smell this wine for the next 20 years and be happy! It's hard to find anything wrong with this wine. It's just entering it's adulthood so drink now or hold for another 20 years.
