1983 Chateau d'Yquem (France / Bordeaux / Sauternes )   Reviewed by: mxpbuy Rated: 97 pts   Had some at New Year's 2003/2004 with foie gras. It was hard to separate the wine from the foie gras combination because there is simply no better or more perfect food pairing in the world than a high end Sauternes and well prepared foie gras. Nonetheless, the wine's complexity, liveliness and great structure stood out on it's own - another classic d'Yquem.
