2001 Pride Cabernet Sauvignon - Reserve (USA / California / Napa / Spring Mountain District )   Reviewed by: mxpbuy Rated: 97 pts   Sampled 4/5/04. The barrel rating of the 2001 Pride (non-reserve) got all the hype, which in my mind was completely off the mark. The Pride Reserve, however, is the real deal. Although this wine took over 1 hour in a decanter to open up, the complex blackberry, cassis, currant, herb, and spice were all emerging sufficiently to recognize what this wine will become in another 5 or 7 years - a great wine - and it should continue to be a great wine for many years after that too.
