1998 Chapoutier - Chante Alouette
(France / Rhone / Northern Rhone / Hermitage )

Medium yellow. Aroma is primarily apple, lime, minerals, flowers, and oak. Light to medium body. Semi-dry to dry. Soft tannins. Medium to long finish. The mouth experience is the best thing about this wine, as the nose provides little complexity or richness. A bit disappointing based on Parker's score, but since this is supposed to be going into dormancy about now, I'll try it again after 2010 as directed.
