Color: Brown Red.
Aroma: Tobacco. Smoky. Leather. Earthy.
Flavor: Spice. Leather. Earthy. Burnt.
Profile: Bitter. Balanced. Complex. Moderate Heavy Tannin. Long Finish.
In its black pet-coffin like encasing with a fabric label, you hope this wine will still deliver on taste. Luckily the showy presentation is one-upped by the wine itself. A delicious Brunello after 10+ years, the dusty tannins indicate to me that it still could have slept longer. A lucky buy at BevMo in SF for $50, I have seen this wine in Italy for 300 Euros.
