2001 Le Coste - Barbera del Monferrato ($12) (Italy / Northwest / Piedmont / Barbaresco del Monferrato )   Reviewed by: blackbull Rated: 88 pts   My god. Very impressed by this wine. Red, rubis color. Opaque. Expressif flavors, fruits, roasted flavors. Dark fruits,, confit fruits, wood but not vanilla, roasted aromas from wood barrels. Splendid end with dried prunes and apricots. Long in the mouth, very long indeed.Very good surprise. 87% because very good but not in the range of fine wine outstanding.
