2001 Bogle - Phantom
($20)
(USA / California )

Color: Red Purple.
Aroma: Oak.
Flavor: Black Currant.
Profile: Tart. Complex. Astringent Mouthfeel. Medium Body. Moderate Tannin. Long Finish.
Slightly intoxicating with oak aroma mix with alcohol initially, but upon tasting is not over-oaked like the 2003 vintage. Lingering and complex, the currant and blackberry, and HELLO! ever so slight vanilla(I love vanilla) flavors exhibited make for a delicious flavor, especially at just under $20.
