2004 Corte Riva Merlot (USA / California / Napa / Spring Mountain District )   Reviewed by: aapalileo Rated: 90 pts     Really good wine. Very atypical Merlot as it does not exhibit the "normal" stereotypical Merlot qualities (supple, fruitcake, etc). Instead, this wine presents dried fruits (ie dried currants). Some berries are detected as well. There are hints of flowers and spice. Some earthiness. A very elegant wine.
