1998 Robert Mondavi Merlot (USA / California / Napa )   Reviewed by: marionpotiron Rated: 85 pts   This wine is is from the Napa Valley in California. It is an unfiltered wine. This red wine has a bright brick / cherry and brandy red color. It has a medium smell of woods and herbs. It aslo has a pleasant smell of spices, red fruits jam and vanilla. It starts with freshness but after 3 sips it is very different. It's a full body wine with a full evolution. It has a long and elegant finish. It has a good spicy taste and is well balanced between freshness and richness. It has no more frutty taste because it's an old wine.
