2004 Gillet-Queyrens - Chateau Grand Peyruchet
($15)
(France / Bordeaux / Loupiac )

This sweet white wine is produced by my family in Loupiac, in Gironde.
This brillant and very pleasant white wine has a golden yellow color. It has very caracteristic flavours of quince jam, honey, pineapple. On the mouth, it has sweet taste, sweet attack.
It has a good balance between sweetness, bitterness and other taste flavours.
On the back of the mouth, we can feel bitterness and sweetness, which give the lenght of the wine. It's a pleasant bitterness. At the end, we feel spicy.
It is a very very pleasant white wine. The sweet wine of Loupiac is very rich in sugars, and you shall appreciate it all the more during the appetizer or in entrance with some foie gras, some Roquefort or smoked salmon.
