2006 Bouchard Pere et Fils - Bouchard - Les vignes de l'enfant Jesus ($25) (France / Burgundy / Bourgogne )   Reviewed by: lea Rated: 95 pts   This wine has a very clear and lght color, this is the caracteristic of this type of wine (Pinot Noir). It has a light cherry red color. When you smell it, you have a very pleasant expressive smell. In fact, you have some fragances of fruits above all cherries (griotte), it smells a little bit like the Kriek (Cheery Beer)! There is also spices, coffee aromas. You can smell a special attack with a strong acidity at the beginning, a little bit aggresive but after, it's very fruity, rich and there is a full-bodied evolution with lots of cherry taste. This wine stays very long time in mouth which is very pleasant. We can note that you can use the Pinot noir grape to make Champagne !
