Color: Brick Red.
Aroma: Spice. Smoky. Game.
Flavor: Dark Fruits. Black Currant. Savory. Dusty.
Profile: Crisp Acidity. Balanced. Complex. Rich Voluminous Full Bodied Body. Moderate Tannin. Long Finish.
A phenomenal wine from Dalla Valle, it seems to be peaking perfectly right now. The lush tannins are well integrated with just the right amount of dark dusty fruit to balance the wine. The nose hints at spiciness and then gives way to deeper, savory aromas of smoked meat. The finish is so long and winding that you are torn between taking another sip and relishing the taste in the back of your mouth. Fabulous!
