| COMMENTS: |
A very inexpensive Chianti Riserva. Very good with Italian (red sauced) foods and stands up well to spicy foods (Buffalo style chicken). Earthy with hints of ripe Blackberry and Currant with just a hint of cherry and a playful twang on the back of the tongue. Medium body and a somewhat medium length, pleasant finish.

Light fruit, apples particulary come to mind (or tongue). It had a little kick of pepper though, to make things interesting, followed by some buttery goodness.

Very nice affordable wine. In the words of a friend and wine afficionado, "one of the best pizza wines." Dark berries and smoke with a hint of leatheryness. Caused me to almost finish the bottle myself. Merry Christmas to me.

Tasted on reccommendation of a friend, I had to buy bottle. This was a very well balanced and very tasty bottle. It went very well with the shrimp cocktail and roasted baby lamb chops that I had with it at the tasting I brought it to. Mmmmm Mmmmmm.

It didn't taste bad once you got it past your nose. This one had to be decanted, and had a very strong Basement nose. Like grandma's. The damp earth and mothball type. It was just unpleasant enough to question drinking the wine. However, the wine, while a bit tart, wasn't bad. It was OK. I got another bottle to check it out, and it was like night and day. Just got a bad one.

After the last bottle of this, I had to give it another chance. This one was like night and day to the bad one. Alluring aromas of dark fruits, blackberries and plums, with a smoky earthyness. Very nice. The finish was long and luxurious with a hint of leather.

Medium body, moderate tannin. Crisp with a bit of tartness. Hints of dark berries, tobacco and earth. Went very well with a nice bone in sirloin steak, baked potato and oven roasted asparagus. Mmmmm mmmmmm. Half a bottle later..... This one will probably improve with some age.

Extraordinary flavors. roasted oak, coffee, chocolate, sherry. Very compact. A lot of "depots" ("settlings" i thnks in English ?) in the base of the glass.Very small settlings and a lot of. Coffee and chocolate aromas with wood and sherry. The barrels was very burned for this result. Long Finish. Ideal with ground-game expressif. A great moment in my life. Is this bottle special and particulary exceptional ?? Lot of settlings responsible ??
