Incontestabely , a great Castel (not the Dark castel). Blood wine (color).Typical flavors, powerfull, terrific wine (as said Robert Parker). Plum and infused tea, blackcurrants. I detect mushrooms. Tannic but not agressive. Excellent in 7 years and for 30 years.Very good lenght. Stay in the mouth. I drink it with a great luxembourg amateur (Sven Majerus)and his rating was 94%. So , we agree for a great wine, a little young for the moment. To see in 2010 with game (gibier).

Disappointed by it. Simple flavors. Already overwooded. This wine is too heavy, there is too wood in this wine and the fruits are disguised.Lake of "Charm" for the Charmes. Too basic (without instinct), too oak, too big prices for this. I hope you the first wine is better.

My god. Very impressed by this wine. Red, rubis color. Opaque. Expressif flavors, fruits, roasted flavors. Dark fruits,, confit fruits, wood but not vanilla, roasted aromas from wood barrels. Splendid end with dried prunes and apricots. Long in the mouth, very long indeed.Very good surprise. 87% because very good but not in the range of fine wine outstanding.

Little "pinot noir " without concentration and "matiere". Pleasant, little fruit but diluted. But in AOC, it is rare to have excellent wines. Too expensive for what it can give. Take a chili or toscan wine if you want flavors and aromas. Here, not very fine, not the elegance. Table wine. Sorry.

Great wine from "cotes de Blaye". Very expressif flavors like Pomerol. Rubis color, young. Big sherry on the mouth and vanilla cream from the wood barels .Not really delicacy and great complexity but very easy and aromatic wine with fruit and not heaviness (contrarely at certain spanish or napa wines). Highly recommanded to wine amators.

New World wine of course. In the first impression, a lot of people in Wine democracy would say : "Amazing, a 92 or 94 points because Cherry , mulberries, chocolate, sweet and ripe fruits, very expressif and powerfull flavors. Opaque and deep, violet color." But don't mistake again. It's a bitch wine like a lot of.Like would say ROBERT PARKER : "Nearly a picnic wine".
Well made, indeed, with qualities and flavors. But it is a bodybuilded wine with lack of "terroir", to manipulated by men. The Shiraz losts its primary personnality. Burned shiraz, over-ripped. More you drink the wine, more you see its defaults. It's seems to be a MICHEL ROLLAND 's wine because it's so worked by man. In fact , when the muscles are away, the lenght is short and no interest. Theatral wine , pleasant to see , to drink for a moment but don't run a lot. Good for barbecue, rosted meat, strong meat. After a half of a bottle , i begin to have a headache. I took a 82 % because expressive, pleasant at start, lot of warm aromas and flavors. But finally, not a great wine. If you found it, you must try, very interesting and say your thoughts.

Dark red, deep. Nice flavors of little dark fruits not so ripe. Dark fruits, really not overripped. black cherry, ink, metal, bitter. Not a so fruity wine but typical and deep, strange, mysterious. Good lenght but this lenght is in metal and a little bit too dryness. Special and typically terroir wine. Not a new world wine and standardisation wine.

Lack of elegance and balance. No complexe. Perhaps better in 7 years but no surprise to wait from it. Alcohol sensations. No top position Pomerol.

Good surprise. The Big French Actor , Gerard DEPARDIEU, is a really Wine professionnal. His collaboration with Alain Paret give us a good Condrieu at little price (For the appellation). Cutting, energic wine. Bright and gold color, green in the edges. Young indeed. Exotic, floral, citrus and vanilla flavors. After the big and good acidity, is coming Rondness , fatness , tenderness in the mouth. Lenght is warm, vanilla warm and honey traducting a quality wood barrel "elevage". Very Nice and felicitation Gerard.

Dark red with slightly brown edges. Not an explosif bouquet but typically Pomerol flavors. Dominance of smoke, cender, toasted flavors. Aromas of cherries, small red fruits, merlot type. A lot of astreingeance and tannins. After taste, a little reglisse lenght. Average + lenght. Really good but need expansion. Better in 4 years and good for 10 years. Potential is here. Lack of delicacy for the moment , but it will come.
