COMMENTS:
This wine is is from the Napa Valley in California. It is an unfiltered wine. This red wine has a bright brick / cherry and brandy red color. It has a medium smell of woods and herbs. It aslo has a pleasant smell of spices, red fruits jam and vanilla. It starts with freshness but after 3 sips it is very different. It's a full body wine with a full evolution. It has a long and elegant finish. It has a good spicy taste and is well balanced between freshness and richness. It has no more frutty taste because it's an old wine.

This wine has a brillant golden color. It has a pleasant smell of quince jam, honey, pineapple, and also a light smell of citrus. This wine is well balanced between sweetness and freschness. It is flowerfull in the mouth. On the end of the mouth we can feel a little bet of bitterness balanced with sweetness that gives the length to the wine.

This bright wine has a pale yellow color. It has a pleasant smell of roses litchi and muscat. This very frutty wine has a refreshing attack and a frutty evolution. It's an explosion in the mouth at the begining. It's quite light and all the pleasure is in the fisrt sip.

Touraine Blanc - Cuvee l'Elegante - Vintage 2009 - Domaine du Pre Baron. Appelation Touraine Controlee. Cepage Sauvignon.
This wine has a bright straw yellow color. It has pleasant fragrances of citrus and peach. You can even smell a bit of litchi. The attack in mouth is smooth, lightly acid. The evolution is fine as the wine is medium-bodied. The finish is short and smooth.
It is a refreshing, easy-to-drink wine. I'd say it'd be nice with fish.

COMMENTS:
If you want a big, fruitfull, bold wine that may stain your teeth purple, but still very smooth, this is it! I am rating this wine very high because of the price. I have had $50-60 bottles that don't hold a candle to this. Lot's of blackberry and pepper but still smooth to drink. The best thing is that all you need is small sips to enjoy this wine as it is so big. I know that big Aussie/California Shiraz/syrahs are out of style right now, but if you don't agree, find and buy this wine by the case. Flavours so bold you can bite them, but it does not bite back! Enjoy!

COMMENTS:
This wine was somewhat of a disappointment, and is proof that while 2005 was a great year for Bordeaux wines, not all Bordeaux wines were great. While it paired well with charcoal-broiled ribeye steaks, it fell short of being a good "sipping" wine - astringent on the palate, with a somewhat bewildering aroma... not bad, but... different.
Probably not a "buy again."
