COLOR: Straw Yellow.

PROFILE: Smooth Mouthfeel. Medium Body. Medium Finish.
COMMENTS: Touraine Blanc - Cuvee l'Elegante - Vintage 2009 - Domaine du Pre Baron.
Appelation Touraine Controlee. Cepage Sauvignon.

This wine has a bright straw yellow color.
It has pleasant fragrances of citrus and peach. You can even smell a bit of litchi.
The attack in mouth is smooth, lightly acid. The evolution is fine as the wine is medium-bodied. The finish is short and smooth.

It is a refreshing, easy-to-drink wine.
I'd say it'd be nice with fish.

2005 Koehler Syrah - Santa Ynez Valley
(USA / California)
RATED: 03/25/2010
COMMENTS: If you want a big, fruitfull, bold wine that may stain your teeth purple, but still very smooth, this is it! I am rating this wine very high because of the price. I have had $50-60 bottles that don't hold a candle to this. Lot's of blackberry and pepper but still smooth to drink. The best thing is that all you need is small sips to enjoy this wine as it is so big. I know that big Aussie/California Shiraz/syrahs are out of style right now, but if you don't agree, find and buy this wine by the case. Flavours so bold you can bite them, but it does not bite back! Enjoy!

2005 Chateau Bellevue Lugagnac
(France / Bordeaux)
ALCOHOL: 12.5%
RATED: 03/03/2010
COMMENTS: This wine was somewhat of a disappointment, and is proof that while 2005 was a great year for Bordeaux wines, not all Bordeaux wines were great. While it paired well with charcoal-broiled ribeye steaks, it fell short of being a good "sipping" wine - astringent on the palate, with a somewhat bewildering aroma... not bad, but... different.

Probably not a "buy again."
