COMMENTS: 2011 Tasting Notes:
Typical Ch-M pale colour, very clean and fresh looking - well made
Very open, lovely floral nose, lots of citrus - orange and lime
medium to low oak
Nice acidic 'zing' - very fresh, but rounded out by decent moelleux

Vigneron told us that he doesn't agree with 100% new oak in vinification, and reserves a batch 'just for Parker and les Americains' that is 100%. For the rest of us, he uses 20-30% new oak for a more rounded taste.

Compared to the 'superior' 2009 vintage this held up very well

COMMENTS: Good deep colour
Lovely red fruits on the nose - wild strawberries and raspberries. Very fine aromas, and a big bouquet for a CdeB red. Quite open for a relatively young wine.

Slightly harsh tannins, but otherwise well balanced with a long finish with some savoury herb notes (thyme?).

Great value for a 1er cru Burgundy, but slightly atypical. Thoroughly enjoyed drinking this.

As an aside, the vigneron and his wife were pure comedy. Madame conducted the tasting, while Monsieur carried on about his business, but they carried on a running commentary of stories and comments about our tasting notes that made us all fall in love with this slightly irreverant couple.

COMMENTS: This clear wine has a pale yellow color. We can smell different odors like blend of lemon, grapefruit and mineral aromas. In mouth it's a pretty good wine which is dry but not aggressive. It isn't a fruity white wine. At the end we keep the taste in the palate.

COMMENTS: Its age makes this Pomerol a very good Bordeaux wine. It has a beautiful, dark, brilliant cherry color with a lighter tinge.
It has very pleasant dark fruits aromas, along with vanilla and a slight licorice scent.
It gives a round, supple attack. Then, at the end of the mouth, it leaves a nice velvety feel with surprising flavors of butter, toasted bread, almonds and oak combined.

COMMENTS: This wine has a clear pale yellow tint. It has an expressive and delicate scent of violets, roses, lychee and muscat. This result in an interesting flavors evolution. In mouth, you can feel a slight licorice taste. It has a light fruity and flowery flavor.
This wine offers a very pleasant fruity evolution, without structure.

COMMENTS: This wine has a deep purple red colr. It fist has an intense coffee nose and then some fruits. It has medium common fragrances of red and black fruits, licorice and oak.
It has a bitter evolution in mouth. This wine is quite round and supple. These whole caracteristics make it be an easy to drink wine. In fact it has no structure character. In the end, the finish is really short for a red wine.

COMMENTS: Its colour is very clear and light. It's a dry but not agressive white wine that is fresh. It's not a fruity wine but it's not expected from such a wine. It has an interesting nose of minerals like it smells when it rains in the summer. These smells are not easy but attractive. It has an incredibly pleasant finish that stays a long time in mouth.

COMMENTS: This Pomerol has a strong expressive vanilla nose blended with a nice licorice smell and a pleasant smoky scent. In mouth, this medium-bodied wine has an acid attack. It has a nice oaky flavor, a slight taste of butter, a wonderful smoky finish and a licorice aftertaste which is mixed with tannins. In fact that enhances a velvety sensation in mouth. It's a good Pomerol from this part of Bordeaux.

COMMENTS: This Pinot noir has a very pleasant, bright, brick red color with a lighter, almost orange tinge. Its subtle dark fruits aromas elegantly balance more animal scents.
It has a strong lively attack whcih later evolves in a more supple mouthfeel. It has quite a long finish with discreet fruity aromas.
It is what you can expect from a good Burgundian wine.

COMMENTS: This white wine has a rich golden yellow colour. It has a heavy pleasant smell of coincy jam and a honey nose. In mouth, it's a medium sweet wine. It is first well balanced between the sweetness and the freshness with a quite a strong acidity. Secondly we can feel some firmness and orange's biterness that are caracteristic of Chenin.
It has a long attractive finish that stays quite a long time in mouth.

It is medium-bodied, has no terroir which makes it quite easy to drink.

It has a supple attack and then it is lively and firm. At the end, we feel bitterness of ripe orange. It is long in the mouth. It's a very good and pleasant medium sweet wine.
